This application form is for 2026-2027 Older and Active Community Grant only. The maximum which can be approved for this grant is $3,000. For groups who are not incorporated or auspiced, the maximum amount that may be funded is $2,000. Please see the guidelines for further clarification.
This grant program is designed for community groups that provide activities and/or events for older adults that are based in the City of Darebin. For the purposes of this grant, older adults can be defined as people aged 50+.
The priority areas of this grant program are:
- New and emerging older adult community groups, especially those who can address an unmet need in the Darebin community.
- Age-friendly events and celebrations run by older adult community groups, including culturally specific celebrations and community-led events during Seniors Month in October.
- Activities and/or events that can increase social connection amongst older adults within the City of Darebin, particularly with those who are feeling socially isolated and/or experience barriers to social connection.
Closing date for applications is Sunday 29 March 2026 at 11.59 pm (end of day). Late applications cannot be accepted.
